https://www.commonsense.org/education/articles/parent-tips-and-tricks-for-distance-learning Parents, you should have gotten an email from the district with information about this unit and a code to access the lesson materials on the Second Steps website. If you need that code again, please email me and I can send it to you.
We finished the week talking about Safe, Unsafe, and Unwanted Touches and also talked about what to do when someone breaks the Touching Rule. We referred back to "The Ways to Stay Safe" Poster, (The 3R's) RECOGNIZE-Is it safe, what's the Rule? REFUSE-Say words that mean no. REPORT-Tell an adult. We talked about the Never Keep Secrets Rule card when someone breaks the touching rule and how to Refuse and Report to a trusted adult. We have completed the Abuse Prevention Unit with all K-2 students. I will not see K-2 for two weeks as I move to 3rd-5th Grade during the CCDD rotation for two weeks. As always, if you have any questions please contact me lcaudle@cpsk12.org |
